2 Pray With Faith
Matthew 14:
12 John's disciples came and took his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus what had happened.
13 When Jesus heard about John, he withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself. When the crowds learned this, they followed him on foot from the cities.
14 When Jesus arrived and saw a large crowd, he had compassion for them and healed those who were sick.
15 That evening . . .
22 . . . Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead to the other side of the lake while he dismissed the crowds.
23 When he sent them away, he went up onto a mountain by himself to pray. Evening came and he was alone.

You may be thinking now,
"But Jesus isn't here. How can I tell this to someone who isn't here?"
That's where faith comes in.
Jesus died and came back to life. In His own words,
He laid down His life voluntarily, and then took it back up again!
He died carrying with Him all the griefs and sorrows of the human race.
That includes your sorrows and mine.
If you choose to believe this, then Jesus is with you right now.
Therefore, you can off-load all your griefs and sorrows to Him.
You can tell Him how this event is affecting You and ask His strength to bring you through this difficult period of your life.
Jesus will help you as you trust Him.
Prayer:
1 As the deer pants for water, so I long for you, O God.
2 I thirst for God, the living God. Where can I find Him to come and stand before Him?
3 Day and night I weep for his help, and all the while my enemies - (the thoughts in my head) - taunt me.
"Where is this God of yours?" they scoff.
4 Take courage, my soul!
Do you remember those times (but how could you ever forget them!) when you led a great procession to the Temple on festival days, singing with joy, praising the Lord?
5 Why then be downcast? Why be discouraged and sad?
Hope in God! I shall yet praise him again.
Yes, I shall again praise him for his help.
6 Yet I am standing here depressed and gloomy,
but I will meditate upon your kindness to this lovely land where the Jordan River flows and where Mount Hermon and Mount Mizar stand.
7 All your waves and billows have gone over me,
and floods of sorrow pour upon me like a thundering cataract.
8 Yet day by day the Lord also pours out his steadfast love upon me,
and through the night I sing his songs and pray to God who gives me life.
(Psalm 42: Living Bible)
