Today's Study:

5 - Cut to the Heart - a

Acts 2:36-41 (Peter speaking)
36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation."
41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

When the Holy Spirit convicts humans, it feels like being cut to the heart. Another way of putting this, is that we feel deeply moved, or pierced at the core of our person.

Those who listened to the Apostle Peter on that day, responded in a positive way to this conviction.

What's YOUR response today?

Lord Holy Spirit, today I ask that You keep on speaking powerfully in my inner person.
Help me be willing to make the positive life changes You keep urging me to make. I ask these things in Jesus' precious name,

See you tomorrow, God willing,
when you'll find a new thought here to challenge you!
Meanwhile, have a great day walking with the Lord!
